"SHERIF EXPORT-IMPORT" Ltd., with its head office in Zagreb, is one of the most prominent trading companies in the region and has been among 1% of the most efficient companies in Croatia for years. Trade has been a part of family tradition for 3 generations.

Knowledge and experience transferred from one generation to the other have brought about significant results, which are seen in the expansion and strengthening of business and in an impeccable anticipation of social circumstances.

Each day, we strive to improve our business and it has been so ever since 1990 when the company "SHERIF EXPORT-IMPORT" Ltd. was founded. This is why we continuously invest more funds in our growth and development. In 2006, we founded a new subsidiary "Drvni centar Glina" Ltd., with the head office in Glina, where we boast our own wood processing activities. Today "Drvni centar Glina" Ltd. is a respectable company with a high turnover, production and employee growth rate.

Besides production activities in Glina, we also launched our new facility "Gorski kotar 1", located in Crni Lug, and our goal is to start up at least two more facilities of this kind.

In addition to own production facilities, the company has been constantly cooperating with over 40 suppliers of wood products from all over Croatia.

Since most of the company's products are shipped by sea, in 2010 we signed a Contract with the Port of Rijeka Authority for a ten-year concession of the Port of Raša. This way, we have ensured the possibility of marketing our wood products overseas over a longer period of time and we have enhanced our competitiveness in the world market.

Despite considerable production, our company pays utmost attention to the sustainable development of forest resources, which is guaranteed by the FSC^® certificates.

Furthermore, at the end of 2009 the company set up another subsidiary, "BE-TO Glina" Ltd., whose main goal was to build a biomass cogeneration power plant. This way, electrical and thermal energy will be produced from renewable energy sources in the future.

Today, Sherif group employs over 150 people and is among top 3 exporters of wood products in Croatia.
